Activated Charcoal for Diabetes
"Charcoal has been used in the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus. The adsorption of glucose by charcoal occurring in the bowel has resulted in some patients being able to take a decreased dosage of insulin or oral sugar-reducing agents. Charcoal has also caused a reduction of signs of blood vessel and nerve pathology, the most dreaded complications of diabetes. There has been also a normalizing of the activity of digestive organs. The triglycerides in some studies tended to decrease and the atherogenic index went down." Rx Charcoal Dr Agatha Thrash (former Medical Examiner for State of Georgia) p. 42
